Red-crowned crane can be found in China, Japan and Korea. It lives in marsh and seacoast. Male and female live together during the season for multiplication. It mainly lives on seeds, sprouts, rootstalk, insects, fishes, etc. Normally, a female lays 2 eggs in each season and needs 22 days for sitting. The male and female work together in feeding the young. Life span: 50-60 years. It is listed as an animal under national class I protection.
