Mandarin duck can be found in East Asia, Siberia and North America. It stays in shall water areas near forests, and lives in pairs. It normally rests on treetops or under trees, and lives on plant seeds and water plants, and may also feds on insects and small aquatic animals. It nests in tree holes. Normally, a female lays 9-14 eggs and needs 28~35 days for sitting.
