Demoiselle crane can be found in Northeast China, Siberia and North Europe. It migrates to the south for the winter, and mainly lives in grassland or plane areas where it is generally dry. The bird lives on various inspects, worms and soft animals, and may also feeds on sprouts and various seeds. It multiplies in spring and normally lays 1~2 eggs and about needs 25 days for sitting.
