Also known as yellow monkey, Henhe River monkey and Guangxi Monkey. It lives in mountains and forests in Shangxi and south of Shaanxi. Normally, it stays in trees, and comes out in groups in the daytime. It lives on wild fruits, flowers, sprouts, rootstalks, etc. Life span: 30 years. Macaque has been listed as the animal under national class II protection.
