White-napped crane

White-napped crane can be seen in Northeast of China, and normally spends winter in South China. It usually rests at places where there is plenty of water. It lives on sprouts, seeds, insects and fishes. It begins to set up nest at dry places in Apr. A female usually lays 2 eggs and needs 30 days for sitting. It is listed as an animal under national class II protection.
