The garden covers a land area of 13,340m2. Grand myrtle is also known as “one-hundred day red”. It belongs to purple loosestrife family, and grows well in South China, and can also survive in North China. This plant likes warm and humid climate and withstands high air temperature. It can withstand drought, but does not like wet environment. It grows well under shade. The flower period is from June to Sept., and the flowers are in white, pink and purple.
