The garden covers a land area of 6670m². Qionghua flower belongs to the caprifoliaceae. It is now the representative flower of Yangzhou City. Qionghua has been a well-known flower for over a thousand years in China. It grows in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and West of Anhui. The plant likes sunlight, and grows well on wet and fertile land. The flower period is in Apr. of each year. The flower is white and in big sizes. The fruit bearing period is from Sept. to Oct. It had been believed in ancient days that Qionghua flower was the only one of its kind in the world. The flower is not only well-known in the world but also closely linked with the rise and fall of the ancient city Yangzhou.
